I tell stories. They’ve evolved from poetry to newspapers to pixels. My tools include notepads, typewriters, MacBooks, digital cameras and Adobe Creative Suite. I move deftly from three words to 3,000 words to 300 dpi to 24 fps to 140 characters. And I’m always looking for new mediums and methods of communication.
As a Storyteller on the Global Communications and Brand Management team at Yahoo!, I crafted and communicated engaging corporate narratives for the world’s premier digital media company. Prior to yodeling in California, I worked in the Austin startup scene as an editor for Offers.com, the first interactive copywriter at FirstROI (acquired by BancVue) and the first editorial hire at Pluck (acquired by Demand Media). My traditional media experience includes editorial roles at daily newspapers, weekly newspapers, monthly magazines and online publications. I’ve written extensively on technology, finance, entertainment, music, lifestyle and women’s issues. My work has appeared in Spin, Austin-American Statesman, Austinist, TechCrunch, Change.org, People Magazine, Washington Post and the History Channel.
